Karma Klub
The Karma Klub project was undertaken in a project management class at Boston University. Each team in the class was tasked with developing a project idea and learning how to bring it to fruition. My team and I conceived the idea of opening an upscale nightclub in Boston. Throughout this project, I gained valuable experience in project planning, event planning strategies, forming partnerships for Karma Klub, enhancing social media engagement, and app design creation. Additionally, I developed skills in team collaboration, leadership, time management, financial planning, market research, risk management, communication, creativity, technological proficiency, and customer engagement.

Karma Klub is a premier nightclub in Boston’s vibrant seaport district. It aims to establish itself as a profitable venture by creating an enticing ambiance that blends exceptional entertainment with exquisite offerings.
Target Audience
Our target audience consists of young adults aged 21 to 30 who are passionate about electronic music and aspire to lead an exquisite lifestyle.
Construction Resources
The construction of Karma Klub is supported by industry professionals, including Suffolk Construction for exceptional build quality, Arrowstreet for innovative design, and trusted utility providers such as Eversource, JM Electrical, Boston Water and Sewer, and Xfinity. These partnerships ensure the highest standards in construction and interior design.
Entertainment Resources
Sound, Lighting, and Entertainment are supported by industry-leading resources, including L’Acoustics for bespoke sound systems, Elkay Interior Solutions for expert commercial kitchen and bar design, and WME Agency for exclusive entertainment bookings. Our entertainment lineup features world-renowned DJs such as Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Kygo, and Martin Garrix, ensuring an unparalleled experience for our guests.
Human Resources
Despite the top management team, the kitchen is led by Head Chef Josh Peck, known for his expertise in leadership and high-quality menu curation. The bar is managed by Carl Benson, an experienced mixologist renowned for creating specialized cocktail menus and providing hands-on staff training and management. This team is responsible for ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the nightclub.
Human Resources
The Karma Klub project’s human resources strategy includes collaboration with Hospitality Staffing Solutions, LLC, for expert staffing of front and back-of-house roles. The marketing team, led by a Marketing Manager and three executives, handles event planning, social media, and promotions. Security is managed by the New England Security Agency, ensuring a safe and professional environment. This comprehensive approach ensures all operational needs are met with experienced professionals.

I placed the register and login options on the homepage to encourage customers to create an account with us. By doing so, we can keep them informed through promotional notifications about upcoming events, such as performances by renowned DJs or holiday celebrations. Account holders also benefit from added convenience, allowing them to order food and beverages directly from their table without the need for a server, as well as a society to share pictures or videos, and invite friends to private group chats for attending events together.

The homepage features recent events hosted by top 100 DJs and includes a section that categorizes different music styles. Users can explore each category and view the DJs associated with their preferred music style by simply clicking on the respective section.
